Serial Trespasser Caught Napping in Stolen Jacket Amid St. Croix Neighborhood Spree

FREDERIKSTED - A serial trespasser turned a Mount Pleasant neighborhood into his personal department store and hotel, repeatedly raiding vehicles and sleeping on porches before alert residents and home surveillance footage brought his spree to an end.
According to probable cause documents filed by Police Officer Careeme Smith of the VIPD Patrol Bureau, officers were dispatched to Plot #324 Mount Pleasant late on Monday night, May 25, 2026, following reports of a male individual unlawfully entering vehicles and removing property.
A Jeep Wrangler for a Bed
The homeowner reported to police that the bizarre interactions began on Sunday, May 24, when she heard rustling outside that she initially mistook for a stray animal, only to find garbage strewn across the hood of her vehicle.
The situation escalated dramatically the following afternoon at approximately 2:03 PM. Upon stepping outside for fresh air, the homeowner noticed the door to her Jeep Wrangler wide open. Approaching the vehicle, she discovered an unknown man—later identified as Terence Willock—fast asleep in the driver's seat with the seat fully reclined and his legs crossed.
When the startled homeowner demanded to know why he was sleeping inside her vehicle, Willock reportedly replied, "Bitch, don't tell me nothing". She ordered him off the property, but as he walked away toward the Paradise stoplight near Queen Mary Highway, she realized he was wearing a black, white, and red jacket belonging to her son, valued at $70.00.
The Nighttime Return and the Next-Door Nap
Willock refused to stay away. At approximately 7:00 PM, the homeowner spotted him marching back into her yard. When she warned him to stop, he shot back, "You cannot stop me from coming in here," before wandering over to a neighboring porch at Plot #323.
By 10:40 PM, the homeowner's sister arrived and noticed laundry items dumped on the ground near the driveway. A quick check of the home’s security cameras revealed Willock had breached the property for a third time, entering an Acura ILX to steal two comforters and a matching fitted sheet set valued at $210.00.
VIPD officers tracking the neighborhood conducted a sweep of the neighboring property at Plot #323. There, they found Willock sound asleep on a beach chair on the porch—unbeknownst to that homeowner—wrapped in the stolen comforters and still wearing the son’s stolen jacket.
Disrespect at Booking
The primary homeowner was brought over to the porch to positively identify both her stolen bedding and the suspect. VIPD officers noted that Willock was easily identified on camera due to "multiple encounters" with law enforcement, and another officer reported he had been caught on camera trespassing on a completely different nearby property earlier that same day.
Upon being read his Miranda warnings at the station, Willock refused to cooperate, becoming highly verbally disrespectful to processing officers. He was booked and held at the John A. Bell Adult Correctional Facility after failing to post a $1,000.00 bail. Willock's Advice of Rights hearing was set for the morning of Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at the Superior Court in Kingshill.
He faces multiple charges, including:
Petit Larceny (14 V.I.C. § 1084)
Trespass (14 V.I.C. § 1741)
Buying, Receiving or Possessing Stolen Property (14 V.I.C. § 2101(b))
