ST. THOMAS — A Sunday evening disturbance at a residence in Annas Retreat ended with the arrest of a woman accused of damaging a front door and a vehicle during a domestic dispute.
Naline Rosado was taken into custody by the Virgin Islands Police Department and faces multiple misdemeanor charges linked to the incident.
Late-Night Disruption in Annas Retreat
The incident unfolded on Sunday, June 21, 2026, at approximately 6:21 P.M. when police officers were dispatched to residence 394A-47 Annas Retreat following reports of a disturbance.
Upon arriving at the scene, responding officer Khalil Tatum met with the resident, Neville Donovan Jr., who reported that the confrontation began around 6:00 P.M.. Donovan stated he was inside his home when he heard the sounds of something striking his front door. Upon opening the door, he found Rosado outside and permitted her to enter the residence.
According to police records, once inside the home, Rosado allegedly began shouting, cursing, and throwing Donovan's personal items. Donovan was eventually able to push Rosado outside and lock the front door to prevent her from re-entering.
Escalation and Vehicular Damage
Once locked out of the house, Rosado reportedly escalated her actions. Donovan informed police that she began striking and damaging the front door, before turning her attention towards his vehicle, a tan 1998 Toyota Corolla. The vehicle’s windshield and roof sustained visible damage during the outburst.
When officers made contact with Rosado at the scene, they noted that her speech was slurred, she was crying, and she exhibited a strong odor of alcohol. Rosado denied doing anything wrong, countering that Donovan was at fault for leaving her stranded elsewhere, forcing her to hitchhike to his residence with a stranger.
Furthermore, Rosado repeatedly claimed that Donovan was holding her iPhone 15 Pro Max and refusing to return it. A subsequent police investigation revealed that Rosado had allegedly taken Donovan’s house keys and refused to disclose where she had hidden them. When questioned by officers regarding the cell phone, Donovan stated he did not have any phone belonging to Rosado.
Police Processing and Court Action
A police investigation confirmed multiple points of impact on Donovan's front door, as well as distinct damage to the roof and windshield of the Toyota Corolla. Crime Scene Technician D. Mahoney of the Forensic Unit was called to the scene to photograph the property damage. Officers noted that neither party exhibited visible physical injuries.
Rosado was subsequently arrested and transported to the Richard Callwood Command for booking. However, police documents indicate she was not fully processed at the station due to being uncooperative with officers. Under the domestic violence laws of the Virgin Islands, bail was not set, and Rosado was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections.
The case is currently being prosecuted in the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands under case number ST-2026-CR-00155. Rosado is formally charged with:
Destruction of Other Property DV (Major Misdemeanor under 14 V.I.C. § 1266 and 16 V.I.C. § 91(b)(9))
Disturbance of the Peace/Threats (Lesser Misdemeanor under 14 V.I.C. § 622(1))
An initial Advice of Rights hearing was held on Monday morning, June 22, 2026, before Judge Julie Smith Todman in Magistrate Division MG-3. A formal arraignment has been scheduled for July 10, 2026, at 10:00 A.M. before Judge Simone M. VanHolten-Turnbull in Magistrate Division MG-2.
